Tegenungan Waterfall is one of them, and it is about 45 minutes away from Ubud Market by car. The scenic waterfall is located in Kemenuh Village, Sukawati, Gianyar, just off of Tegenungan Raya Street. The place where I worked, which is also where Petra and her family live, happens to be only less than 10 minutes away from it by walking.Having walked past rice fields and a hamlet swarming with noisy dogs, we arrived at the entrance-ticket box that looked like a local night-watch post and paid IDR 10,000 for two persons. A few minutes later, as we strolled past a row of simple shops selling food, drinks, and clothes, we could already see the waterfall among thick vegetation. But climbing down the steps revealed another sight of interest: a charming Balinese temple.

Kecak Fire Dance

Kecak Fire dance known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant, the piece, performed by a circle of at least 150 or more performers wearing checked cloth around their waists, percussively chanting "cak" and moving their hands and arms, depicts a battle from the Ramayana. The monkey-like Vanara helped Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. Kecak has roots in sanghyang, a trance-inducing exorcism dance
